Sunday, April 26, 2020 3pm at Erin United Methodist Church
Houston County Arts Council invites you to join us for an afternoon of unforgettable
music from composer Jule Styne. From his precocious childhood to nine Academy
Award nominations to his Broadway musicals (Gypsy, Funny Girl, Bells Are Ringing,
Peter Pan and many others), Styne has carved a place for himself among the
American masters. Shawn Knight’s portrayal of the composer will take you on a
journey from the man’s birth in London through his musical beginnings to his great
successes and battles with a gambling addiction. With songs like “Time After
Time”, “Three Coins in the Fountain”, and “Let it Snow!” To his credit, Jule Styne’s
life and music will leave you smiling and humming for days.

HCAC presents the Nashville Ballet Feb. 6, 2020
Houston County Arts Council presented a night with the Nashville Ballet on Feb. 6th.
Carnival of the Animals - This engaging children's ballet explored the value of diversity through the perspective of the mighty lion. The "King of the Jungle" cannot understand why everyone isn’t exactly like him, but a wise and patient bird introduces the lion to a host of creatures to teach him that we are all unique, and it’s exactly those differences that make life interesting.
