Houston County Arts Council invites you to join us for an afternoon of unforgettable music from composer Jule Styne. From his precocious childhood to nine Academy Award nominations to his Broadway musicals (Gypsy, Funny Girl, Bells Are Ringing, Peter Pan and many others), Styne has carved a place for himself among the American masters. Shawn Knight’s portrayal of the composer will take you on a journey from the man’s birth in London through his musical beginnings to his great successes and battles with a gambling addiction. With songs like “Time After Time”, “Three Coins in the Fountain”, and “Let it Snow!” To his credit, Jule Styne’s life and music will leave you smiling and humming for days.
